How do you remove the oil pan on a 2006 VW Passat?

I've been having a hell of a problem getting my oil pan to drop. I'm 100% sure I have every bolt out... but the thing won't drop. I've smacked it with a rubber mallet, wedged on it with a screwdriver and needle nose pliers... but where the oil pan meets the transmission its wedged so tightly that I can't get the thing to come down.. I'm missing school due to this can someone please help?
