I have a sharp pain between my legs? :/?

It's been happening for a while now, i'm 17. and every once in a while, randomly, whether i'm on my period or not i get this pain between my legs, it feels like someones squeezing my vag with pliers or something :| i will get it checked out, but i'm wondering up front if anyone knows what it could be?
